On September 21, the 2026 China–Vietnam Mid-Autumn Cultural Gala, themed "Tianya Gong Cishi — Far and Wide, We Share the Same Moon · Colourful Clouds Chasing the Moon: Deep Bonds of Good-Neighbourliness," was held in Hanoi. It was organised by the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam and the Publicity Department of the CPC Yunnan Provincial Committee and undertaken by Yunnan Radio and Television Station. Chargé d'Affaires ad interim Wang Qun and over 700 representatives from various sectors of Vietnam attended the event.

Artists from China and Vietnam performed on the same stage, presenting a vivid display of cultural blend between the two countries and their rich and diverse ethnic customs through songs, dances, folk instrumental music and costume shows such as "A Night of Blossoms and Full Moon," "Moonlight," "Flowing Stream," and "Shared Rhythms of Landscape · Dancing in Splendid Attire."

During the event, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam and Yunnan Radio and Television Station jointly launched the "Deep Bonds of Good-Neighbourliness" co-creation initiative under the South and Southeast Asia Influencers Alliance — the "China–Vietnam World Heritage Tourism" programme. On the same day, the "Moonlight over the Lancang–Mekong: One River, One Bond" Mid-Autumn cultural bazaar of the Happy Cloud Workshop was also held.
