On August 25, Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam He Wei met with Vu Dai Thang, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee of Vietnam.

Ambassador He Wei congratulated Vietnam on the upcoming 81st National Day, stating that China–Vietnam relations are currently advancing with great momentum, local cooperation is in the ascendant, and the prospects for building a high-level community with a shared future are prominent. The Chinese side attaches great importance to Hanoi's formulation of an overall plan for its centennial capital vision, which is committed to building an innovation hub in the Asia-Pacific region and a city with international influence. It stands ready to encourage more enterprises with strength, credibility, and qualifications to participate in Hanoi's urban development and high-quality growth, so as to work together to achieve mutual benefit and win-win outcomes.

Vu Dai Thang said that, as Vietnam's political center and a pioneer in international integration, Hanoi looks forward to taking the lead in exchanges and cooperation with China. It will follow the strategic direction set by the top leaders of the two Parties and the two countries, draw on China's experience in megacity governance and technology empowerment, and work with the Chinese side to create more benchmark projects that match the high-level development of bilateral relations, bringing tangible benefits to the capital's residents.
