On August 20, Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam He Wei met with Pham Thi Thanh Tra, Member of the Secretariat of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee and Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of Vietnam.
Ambassador He Wei said that as the building of the China–Vietnam community with a shared future continues to deepen and deliver tangible results, people-to-people and cultural exchanges are increasingly becoming the most vibrant component of bilateral relations. China is ready to work with Vietnam to act on the important shared consensus of the top leaders of the two Parties and the two countries on "building a more solid foundation of public support," seize the momentum of the China–Vietnam Year of Tourism Cooperation, study and introduce more facilitation measures to promote people-to-people exchanges, and continue to develop tourism brands that are popular with the peoples of both countries, so that the good-neighborly friendship between China and Vietnam will take deeper root in the hearts of the people.
Pham Thi Thanh Tra said that the Vietnam–China relationship has entered its second "highlight moment" in building a community with a shared future, and the traditional friendship of "comrades plus brothers" between the two countries is radiating new vitality. The Government of Vietnam will, in line with the strategic consensus of the top leaders of both sides, strengthen mutual learning with China through cultural exchanges, steadily advance tourism cooperation projects that meet the needs of both sides, and continuously consolidate the public support for bilateral relations. |
