On July 29, Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam He Wei met with Nguyen Dinh Trung, Secretary of the Hue City Party Committee, in Hue City. Chinese Consul General in Da Nang Dong Biyou also attended the meeting.

Ambassador He Wei stated that under the strategic guidance of the top leaders of the two Parties and countries, subnational and people-to-people exchanges and cooperation between China and Vietnam have been advancing with strong momentum. He noted that Hue, as a city with a long history and vibrant innovative energy, holds great potential and promising prospects for cooperation with China in areas such as culture and tourism, port logistics, and smart manufacturing. He expressed hope that both sides would work together to continuously deepen high-level mutually beneficial cooperation between local governments, injecting sustained momentum into the building of the China-Vietnam community with a shared future.

Secretary Nguyen Dinh Trung responded that as the sixth municipality of Vietnam, Hue is accelerating the development of a smart, green and sustainable cultural heritage city. He expressed readiness to strengthen cooperation with China in culture and tourism, medical care, health and wellness, and manufacturing, and to deepen friendly relations with Chinese localities such as Zhejiang and Guangxi, jointly creating new highlights in the Vietnam-China comprehensive strategic cooperation.
