On July 8, the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam convened a symposium to celebrate the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC). Ambassador He Wei delivered the keynote address, with Huang Yibing, Vice President of the Institute of Party History and Literature of the CPC Central Committee, speaking online. Senior Vietnamese officials—including Duong Trung Y, Editor-in-Chief of Communist Review; Le Van Loi, President of the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences; Phan Xuan Thuy, Deputy Head of the Central Commission for Communication, Education, and Mass Mobilization; Vu Trong Lam, Director and Editor-in-Chief of the Truth National Political Publishing House; and Nguyen Manh Hung, Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics—also attended and offered remarks. Nearly one hundred scholars and media representatives from both countries participated.

Ambassador He outlined the CPC’s historic achievements and distinctive strengths over its 105-year history and introduced key aspects of Xi Jinping Thought on Party Building. Vietnamese representatives shared insights from the Communist Party of Vietnam’s century-long leadership experience.

Participants held in-depth discussions on “Important Experiences of the CPC and CPV in Leading Socialist Construction,” noting that the two parties have long supported each other, adhered to a people-centered approach, and emphasized Party building. Both sides agreed that, in the new era, the two parties should continue to strengthen theoretical exchanges, learn from each other, and jointly enhance their  governance capacity.
