2026-06-06 11:45

On June 5, Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam He Wei met with Hoang Thanh Tung, Minister of Justice of Vietnam.

Ambassador He Wei stated that the rule of law is an important hallmark of human political civilization. Both China and Vietnam are actively exploring paths to socialist rule of law suited to their own national conditions, contributing to the enrichment of the rule of law in human civilization. Both sides uphold the Party's overall leadership over the work of law-based governance, adhere to the rule of law for the people and by the people, and ensure that the people can truly feel fairness and justice under the rule of law.. China is ready to strengthen cooperation with Vietnam in legislation, law enforcement, judiciary, and compliance, through digital empowerment and talent cultivation, so as to use high-level rule-of-law cooperation to safeguard the building of a China-Vietnam community with a shared future.

Minister Hoang Thanh Tung responded that cooperation in legal and judicial fields plays a vital supporting role in the development of Vietnam-China relations. Vietnam is ready to strengthen cadre training and experience sharing to build a more convenient and secure legal framework for closer economic, trade and people-to-people exchanges between the two countries, contributing the strength of the rule of law to the building of a higher-level community with a shared future that carries strategic significance between Vietnam and China.
