2026-06-01 21:50

On June 1, Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam He Wei met with Doan Minh Huan, Member of the Politburo of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee and President of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics.

Ambassador He Wei stated that China and Vietnam, as the only two socialist countries in the world with a population of over 100 million each and remarkable development achievements, share a common political character of persisting in theoretical innovation, and their fine political tradition of strengthening exchanges on governance experience. Under the new historical conditions, China is ready to work with Vietnam to conduct higher-level theoretical research, deepen the understanding of the laws governing the governance of the Communist Party, the construction of socialism, and the development of human society, firmly defend the ideological front, and promote the steady and sustained advancement of the socialist cause.

President Doan Minh Huan responded that Vietnam and China are a community with a shared future that carries strategic significance, both committed to development paths suited to their own national conditions. Vietnam attaches great importance to learning from China’s valuable experience in governing the Party and the country, and is ready to continue promoting mutual theoretical exchanges and learning, strengthening the training of Party and government officials, safeguarding political security, and contributing theoretical strength to the socialist cause of both countries.
