On April 21, Ambassador He Wei held a China-Vietnam media briefing at the Chinese Embassy. Over 20 Chinese and Vietnamese media representatives attended, including Nhan Dan (The People) and Radio The Voice of Vietnam.
Ambassador He gave a comprehensive introduction to the outcomes of the state visit to China by To Lam, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee and State President of Vietnam. He emphasized that the strategic guidance of the top leaders of the two Parties and countries has always served as the “compass” and “anchor” for the steady and sustained development of China-Vietnam relations. At a critical juncture where profound changes unseen in a century are accelerating and the development strategies of the two countries are increasingly converging, China and Vietnam — as fellow members of a community with a shared future for the socialist cause, for modernization, and as partners in building a community with a shared future for mankind — should act in the long-term interests of both countries and the cause of human peace and progress. The two sides should strengthen exchanges on governance experience at a higher level, deepen political mutual trust and strategic coordination, continuously enhance the sense of benefit among the two peoples, jointly set an example of solidarity and cooperation between neighbors, and inject positive energy into a turbulent world.
On the same day, Ambassador He also gave an exclusive video interview to the Vietnam News Agency. |
