Chinese Ambassador Meets with Secretary of Hanoi Municipal Party Committee Nguyen Duy Ngoc
2025-12-31 10:15

On December 31, Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam He Wei met with Nguyen Duy Ngoc, Member of the Politburo of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee and Secretary of the Hanoi Municipal Party Committee.

Ambassador He Wei stated that as the building of the China-Vietnam community with a shared future continues to deepen and deliver solid outcomes, practical cooperation between the two countries is accelerating. He noted that Hanoi, as the capital and the political and cultural center of Vietnam, serves as an important benchmark for high-level sub-national cooperation between China and Vietnam. He expressed hope that Hanoi would further leverage sister-city channels to strengthen collaboration with cities like Beijing, focusing on targeted exchanges to address common urban challenges such as city planning, traffic congestion, and environmental pollution. This, he added, would provide new models and inject fresh momentum for both countries as they pursue their respective paths to urban modernization.

Secretary Nguyen Duy Ngoc stated that Vietnam is about to usher in a new era of national development starting with the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, with vigorously advancing urban modernization being a top priority. He emphasized that Hanoi values learning from China's valuable experience in tackling urban development challenges and is willing to enhance cooperation with Beijing in areas like rail transit and pollution control, contributing to its own development and the building of the Vietnam-China community with a shared future.
