Chinese Ambassador Meets with Vietnamese Minister of Finance
2025-12-31 10:10

Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam He Wei met with Nguyen Van Thang, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and Minister of Finance of Vietnam on December 31.

Ambassador He Wei stated that as the China-Vietnam Year of People-to-People Exchanges is concluding successfully, mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries continues to advance triumphantly across various fields. He noted that next year marks the beginning of China's 15th Five-Year Plan period, while Vietnam will also sound the clarion call for a new era of national development. He expressed hope that Vietnam would seize the favorable opportunity presented by bilateral relations entering a second "highlight", gain more from China's high-standard opening-up, deepen exchanges and mutual learning in areas such as the state-owned economy and finance, promote the implementation of more landmark projects, and solidify the foundation for building a China-Vietnam community with a shared future through high-quality strategic alignment.

Minister Nguyen Van Thang responded that Vietnam and China share highly aligned development paths and governance philosophies, providing a natural foundation for mutually beneficial cooperation. He stated that Vietnam is driving leapfrog economic development through technological innovation and digital transformation, and looks forward to strengthening cooperation with China in finance, infrastructure, and state-owned enterprises. He affirmed Vietnam's willingness to create the most favorable conditions for Chinese investment in key projects related to Vietnam's industrialization and modernization.
