Bilateral economic, trade, and people-to-people exchanges have reached new heights. Lao Cai Province plays a significant role in subnational cooperation between the two countries. He expressed hope that the province would further leverage the meeting mechanism for Party secretaries of China's Yunnan Province and the four northern provinces of Vietnam, seize the opportunity presented by the construction of the standard-gauge Lao Cai–Hanoi–Haiphong railway, strengthen strategic alignment and infrastructure connectivity between the two sides, and focus on promoting green development and digital transformation. He emphasized that high-level local cooperation would help deepen and solidify the building of the China-Vietnam community with a shared future.

Comrade Trinh Viet Hung said that Vietnam and China share a special and friendly bond. As a border province in northern Vietnam, Lao Cai will thoroughly implement the tasks assigned by the Vietnamese Party and government, promote rapid and sustainable growth in bilateral trade, and steadily carry out distinctive tourism cooperation.
