On December 12, the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam and the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam jointly held the award ceremony for the “China–Vietnam Friendship Scholarship” and a youth exchange event. Minister Counsellor Wang Qun and Counsellor Zhou Wen, together with young diplomats from the Embassy, attended the event. Nguyen Thi Tran, Vice President of the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam, and nearly 100 representatives of faculty and students were also present.

Wang Qun congratulated the award-winning students and briefed them on the fruitful achievements made this year in building the China–Vietnam community with a shared future. He emphasized that the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China had drawn up a grand blueprint for advancing Chinese modernization, which would inject new momentum into the development of China–Vietnam relations. He expressed the hope that the younger generation would carry forward the spirit of perseverance and strive to become participants, builders, communicators, and contributors to the China–Vietnam community with a shared future.

Nguyen Thi Tran said that the Chinese scholarship program is a vivid embodiment of China–Vietnam friendship and encouraged students of the Academy to work hard to become ambassadors of friendship between the two countries.

After the ceremony, young diplomats from the Embassy and young students from the Diplomatic Academy engaged in in-depth exchanges on China–Vietnam relations, people-to-people and cultural exchanges, and youth development. They unanimously expressed their willingness to contribute youthful strength to the building of the China–Vietnam community with a shared future.
