On September 14,  Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam He Wei paid a courtesy call on Deputy Prime Minister of Vietnam Bui Thanh Son.

Ambassador He stressed that under the strategic guidance of the top leaders of the two Parties, China and Vietnam have witnessed increasingly close political exchanges, vigorous progress in practical cooperation, and ever-deepening friendship between the two peoples. Son congratulated China on the successful commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War and the successful hosting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit.
