Ambassador He Wei Met with Deputy Prime Minister of Vietnam Tran Hong Ha
2025-08-05 11:30

On August 4, Ambassador He Wei met with Tran Hong Ha, Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of Vietnam.

Ambassador He Wei stated that China and Vietnam, as a community with a shared future that carries strategic significance, are naturally aligned in purpose, with mutual benefit and win-win cooperation as a prominent feature of their joint development. Under the new historical conditions, both sides should make good use of the China–Vietnam Railway Cooperation Joint Committee mechanism, steadily advance key projects such as the Lao Cai–Hanoi–Haiphong standard-gauge railway, and promote smooth trade and closer people-to-people ties through high-quality transport connectivity, bringing more tangible and practical benefits to both sides.

Tran Hong Ha said that the traditional friendship established by the older generations of leaders of China and Vietnam has a solid political foundation and continues to flourish under the strategic guidance of the top leaders of the two Parties. Vietnam is willing to work with China to advance high-quality alignment between the “Two Corridors, One Economic Circle” and the Belt and Road Initiative, maintain sustained efforts in transport infrastructure development, open up major channels for practical bilateral cooperation, build new platforms for capacity cooperation, and promote the vigorous development of China–Vietnam relations.
