On July 29, Ambassador He Wei met with Tran Luu Quang, Secretary of the Secretariat of the Communist Party of Vietnam and Head of the Central Commission for Policy and Strategy.
Ambassador He Wei stated that, as socialist countries, China and Vietnam both practice a people-centered development philosophy and adhere to paths of modernization suited to their own national conditions. Faced with intertwined external uncertainties, both sides should firmly uphold the banner of multilateralism, pursue the concept of win-win cooperation, promote the tradition of good-neighborly friendship, and rely on the stability of China–Vietnam friendly cooperation to respond to external uncertainties. This will contribute to building an equal and orderly multipolar world and an inclusive and balanced economic globalization.
Tran Luu Quang said that the Vietnamese Party and Government have always regarded developing relations with China as a top priority and a strategic choice, and are greatly encouraged by the steady progress in building the Vietnam–China community with a shared future. Under the new circumstances, Vietnam is willing to fully learn from China’s valuable experience, appropriately respond to external risks and challenges, and work together to safeguard shared strategic interests. |
