On July 25, the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam held a reception to celebrate the 98th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army. Ambassador He Wei, Defense Attaché Jiang Bo, Nguyen Van Hien, Deputy Minister of National Defense of Vietnam, Hoang Trung Dung, Editor-in-Chief of Communist Review, along with other representatives from party, government, and military institutions, as well as diplomatic envoys and defense attachés stationed in Vietnam, totaling more than 300 guests, attended the event.

In his remarks, Ambassador He Wei stated that the Chinese military is a steadfast force in safeguarding national security and world peace. China remains firmly committed to the path of peaceful development, advocates a security concept that keeps pace with the times, and pursues a defensive national defense policy.

Jiang Bo noted that, under the guidance of the top leaders of the two Parties, China–Vietnam military-to-military relations are operating at a high level. The Chinese military is willing to work with the armed forces of all countries to practice the vision of a community with a shared future for mankind and jointly build an Asian security model featuring shared security and mutual assistance, seeking common ground while shelving differences, and dialogue and consultation.

Nguyen Van Hien warmly congratulated China on its great achievements and expressed gratitude for China’s strong support for Vietnam’s revolutionary and national development endeavors, expressing confidence that relations between the two militaries will continue to reach new heights.

During the reception, a photo exhibition themed “Safeguarding Peace, Sharing a Common Destiny” was also held.
