2025-07-26 22:25

On July 24, Ambassador He Wei held talks with Luong Tam Quang, Member of the Politburo of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee and Minister of Public Security.

Ambassador He Wei noted that, as socialist countries led by Communist Parties, China and Vietnam have always taken safeguarding political security as a founding principle and protecting the safety and well-being of their peoples a shared mission. The two sides have achieved significant results in areas such as cross-border fugitive repatriation and pursuit, combating drug-related crimes, and fighting cybercrime, successfully solving one major case after another. These efforts have effectively enhanced the sense of security and happiness of the peoples of both countries and upheld the authority of law. He expressed the hope that both sides would further consolidate and improve law enforcement and security cooperation mechanisms, to create a safe and stable environment for their respective paths toward modernization.

Luong Tam Quang stated that the Vietnamese Party and Government attach great importance to friendly cooperation with China. Guided by the strategic consensus reached by the top leaders of the two Parties, Vietnam stands ready to continuously enhance the scope, intensity, and depth of bilateral law enforcement and security cooperation, effectively deter and curb all types of illegal and criminal activities, firmly safeguard security and stability in the border areas of the two countries, and build a solid security shield for the Vietnam–China community with a shared future.
