On July 10, Ambassador He Wei met with Vu Viet Trang, President of the Vietnam News Agency.

Ambassador He Wei noted that the media of China and Vietnam shoulder a historic mission to disseminate mainstream values and promote social progress. Only when the people have faith can a country have strength, and only then can a nation have hope. China looks forward to strengthening cooperation with the Vietnam News Agency to jointly uphold socialist values, take the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries and the China–Vietnam Year of People-to-People Exchanges as an opportunity, further explore red (revolutionary) resources, tell the stories of China–Vietnam friendship well, promote closer bonds and deeper mutual understanding between the two peoples, foster new models of people-to-people exchanges, and continuously consolidate the public support for the China–Vietnam community with a shared future.

Vu Viet Trang stated that the Vietnam News Agency has long maintained friendly and cooperative relations with Chinese media organizations. She expressed readiness to work with the Chinese side, guided by the important consensus reached by the top leaders of the two Parties, to expand media and news cooperation, strengthen mutual learning and exchanges, amplify the main theme of Vietnam–China friendship, and inject new momentum into the development of bilateral relations.
