Chinese Ambassador Meets Vietnamese NA Vice Chairman
2025-09-10 18:47

Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam He Wei met with Vice Chairman of the National Assembly (NA) of Vietnam Tran Quang Phuong on August 18.

He Wei said that under the strategic guidance of the top leaders of the two parties, China-Vietnam relations have entered a second “defining moment” in history. The building of a China-Vietnam community with a shared future has continued to deepen, and exchanges and cooperation between the two countries’ legislative bodies are flourishing. China stands ready to work with Vietnam, through innovation and concrete action, to advance socialist democracy and the rule of law, strengthen high-level strategic coordination in exploring modernization paths suited to each country’s unique conditions, and jointly open a new chapter of good-neighborliness and pursuing common development.

Tran Quang Phuong said that Vietnam’s Communist Party, government, and NA have always placed the development of relations with China as a top priority. And the two nations’ traditional friendship featuring "camaraderie plus brotherhood" is unbreakable. This year marks the 75th anniversary of China-Vietnam diplomatic ties and the China-Vietnam Year of People-to-People Exchange. The NA is willing to work closely with National People’s Congress of China, give full play to the role of the joint committee between legislative bodies, and draw on China’s experience in comprehensively advancing law-based governance. Together, both sides can forge powerful forces to promote the building of a community with a shared future between the two countries.
