Ambassador He Wei Gives Joint Interview to Vietnamese Mainstream Media on General Secretary and President Xi Jinping’s Successful Visit to Vietnam
2025-04-30 18:24

On April 28, Ambassador He Wei gave a joint interview to Vietnamese media regarding General Secretary and President Xi Jinping’s visit to Vietnam. More than ten mainstream outlets participated, including the Vietnam News Agency (VNA), Voice of Vietnam (VOV), and the Vietnam Government Portal(VGP).

Ambassador He Wei provided a comprehensive overview of the outcomes and significance of this historic visit. He stated that at a critical juncture marked by a turbulent international landscape and the need to build on past achievements in China-Vietnam relations, the top leaders of the two Parties reached broad consensus on deepening the building of a China-Vietnam community with a shared future. The two sides signed 45 cooperation agreements, elevated the pioneering “3+3” strategic dialogue (covering diplomacy, defense, and public security) to the ministerial level, took solid steps toward enhancing railway infrastructure connectivity, and promoted traditional friendship by launching the “Red Study Tour” initiative. Both sides also agreed to uphold the current international trade rules, sending a strong signal of their commitment to advance together along the socialist path. China will work with Vietnam to ensure the implementation of these outcomes, continuously deepening and substantiating the building of a China-Vietnam community with a shared future.
