On the morning of May 20, 2021, Premier Li Keqiang held a phone conversation with Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan at Ziguang Pavilion of Zhongnanhai leadership compound at the latter's request. Li Keqiang said, China and Pakistan enjoy a long-standing friendship. Noting that May 21 marks the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between the two countries, President Xi Jinping and Pakistani President Arif Alvi will exchange congratulatory messages.
